Winners will be announced on 16 April

Winners of Napkin Competition 2010 will be announced live at our next Entrepreneurs Coffee Club:

Prizes

Four winners of the competition will fly to Sydney (courtesy of Webjet) to take part in the 'Innovation Tour'. The Tour gives students the opportunity to engage with entrepreneurs, business people, investors and visit innovative environments including:

Note that a separate prize pool is available for residents of International House Sydney. Three winners from IH Sydney will join the four winners from the main competition to take part in the Innovation Tour.

Winning entries will be judged by the criteria listed below.


Judging Criteria

Originality: How innovative is your idea? Is it creative? (key component)

Target Market: Will there be demand? Who is your target market? 

Profitability: Can your idea be self-sustainable? And make a profit? 

Feasibility: How can you bring you idea into reality? What resources & capabilities do you need? How will you get them?

Judges will be considering these four elements when assessing your business concept. So be sure to include them on your napkin!

 

Eligibility

1.   Competition is open to all current University and Tertiary students from Victoria (VIC), New South Wales (NSW)* AND residents of International House Sydney

2.   You may enter as many ideas as you like

3.   You may submit your idea as a team, but only one prize will be awarded per winning entry

Competition organizers and judges will treat your business idea with discretion, and will only publish it with your explicit permission.  

*Winners from New South Wales (NSW) will make their own travel arrangements to meet the Victorian (VIC) winners in Sydney.
